20 квітня 2024 року доцентка кафедри іноземних мов з латинською мовою та медичною термінологією Юлія Лисанець прочитала онлайн лекцію на тему “Mastering Academic Writing: Essential Skills and Strategies" для студентів Університету Ваямби (Шрі-Ланка).
Під час лекції було розглянуто найважливіші лексико-граматичні аспекти наукового стилю англійської мови, потенційні труднощі під час вивчення англійської мови наукового спілкування (паронімія, полісемія, енантіосемія та ін.), а також стратегії усунення й уникнення можливих помилок в англомовному дискурсі.
Guest lecture by a scholar from PSMU at Wayamba University (Sri Lanka)
On April 20, 2024, Yuliia Lysanets, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology, delivered an online lecture titled "Mastering Academic Writing: Essential Skills and Strategies" for students of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. The event, attended by 100 participants, served as a pivotal opportunity for students to enhance their understanding of academic writing in English.
During the lecture, Dr. Lysanets highlighted the key lexical and grammatical aspects of academic writing, potential difficulties in learning the English language for scientific communication (paronymy, polysemy, enantiosemy, etc.), as well as strategies for eliminating and avoiding possible errors commonly encountered in English discourse.
